File Station is a Java desktop application built to solve two daily frustrations: cluttered file systems and awkward USB-based transfers between computers.

The application provides a graphical file manager with tree-style navigation, multi-selection, batch operations, and a built-in terminal for command-line interaction. Its distinctive feature is a host-controlled LAN sharing system: one computer hosts, others on the same Wi-Fi or network connect through it, and files pass directly between devices without internet dependency or cloud accounts.

The networking layer uses a custom Java library called SANET, built on TCP/IP sockets with Packet, Socket, Client and Network classes. The GUI was implemented with Java Swing. The project also involved UML modeling and batch scripting.

File Station runs on any Java-enabled computer. It targets developers and small teams who exchange project files frequently and want to reduce time lost to disorganized storage and forgotten flash drives.
